Project Manager/Estimator

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Project Manager, who is relationship oriented and eager to apply their experience to help grow our company to the next level of success. We will provide a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager who is seeking to be an integral member of a dynamic and growing team. The Project Manager will be respected for providing outstanding customer service to the client in a timely and profitable manner. The Project Manager will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships with the client, vendors, and sub-consultants. 

The Project Manager will orchestrate multiple tasks, while paying close attention to every detail. The ideal Project Manager will thrive on a fast paced, and flexible environment. A qualified Project Manager will have at least 5 years of experience.  

The specific duties and responsibilities will be dynamic and grow with individual’s professional development. Initial duties and responsibilities include: 

  • Serving as the primary Company representative on all assigned projects and tasks. 
  • Leading, guiding, and coordinating all project team activities and working with various team members to assure successful project completion: client’s representatives, project superintendents, subcontractors, team leaders, and others as may be assigned. 
  • Scheduling and conducting daily team meetings and leading the team members as a group or individually in project problem solving. 
  • Preparing documentation especially relative to estimates, space plans, comprehensive plans, agreements, notices, certifications, implementation, and completion. 
  • Assuring the timely review and update of all task orders, including new task requests, tasks in progress, and close-outs. 
  • Establishing and maintaining updated project records for project accounting, billings, pursuit of receivables and claims. Preparing and reviewing periodic cost projections. 
  • Preparing and supervising the implementation of project data submittal, material deliver, and closeout schedules: punch list process, all certifications including inspections, and completion, closeout agreements. 
  • Reviewing, interpreting, submitting, and distributing approved specifications, drawings, and space plans, while coordinating with all parties involved. 
  • Supervising and supporting the work efforts of project staff including initiating employee status changes, conducting performance reviews, requesting, and assuring activities when required. 
  • Timely completing all closeout requirements, schedules, and final payment. 
  • Developing deep rooted relationships with clients regarding current tasks and future opportunities. 
  • Working in conjunction with staff to resolve project problems and issues. Developing a team relationship and communicating frequently regarding project status.

  • Baccalaureate degree in Business, Project Management, Interior Design, or equivalent. 
  • At least five (5) years industry experience. 
  • Documented success in collaboratively working with large teams to address challenges and provide growth oriented solutions. 
  • Excellent communication skills and good command of the English language, both verbal and written. 
  • Able to present ideas clearly and concisely. 
  • Ability to understand client desires and drive them to completion. 
  • Experience working directly with CEO in privately owned business preferred. 
  • Dependable, results-focused, and ethical. 
  • High attention to detail, organization, and scheduling. 
  • Flexible and agile, with the ability to “switch hats” on demand to best interact with client desires. 
  • Able to engage with a variety of people of varying backgrounds. 
  • Desire to interact with the client on a professional and personal level to build lifelong relationships. 
  • Verifiable work references demonstrating exceptional accomplishments, leadership savvy, and communication skills. 
  • Responsible for compiling estimates from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Compiling information and perform take off.
  • Create budgets.
  • Assessing material, labor and equipment required and analyzing different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Getting the best price that will win the contract in a competitive bidding situation, while ensuring that the contract can be carried out profitably.

Project Engineer

The Project Engineer works within the Project Management team to plan and oversee the project while ensuring its timely, cost effective and high quality outcome. The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager and Superintendent throughout all phases of the project. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Effectively prioritize and manage the administrative workload – organize and manage Submittals, RFI s and Shop Drawings

Review Shop Drawings for coordination with trades and compliance with contract documents

Develop an understanding of contracts, subcontracts and tracking systems for budgets

Maintain an understanding of standard subcontract agreement and its terms and conditions

Develop an understanding of various Owner contracts and how they work

Responsible for maintaining site contacts for assigned project

Responsible for budget entry

Facilitate the implementation of Quality Management Program based on project requirements

Create, maintain and distribute as-built plans and specifications

Prepare and distribute meeting minutes

Assist the Project Manager with subcontract negotiation and administration

Correspond with owners, clients, consultants and subcontractors

Assist in preparing job schedules

Effectively manage procurement of materials from subcontractors or suppliers

Assist in conducting complete and accurate quantity take offs

Maintain project management files and logs

Approve invoices and applications for payment

Assemble close out documentation

Learn, understand and adhere to company safety policies and programs, including the ability to independently stop work for a safety violation or suspected safety violation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office Products 

Must be able to prioritize and organize work constantly

Experience reading and understanding construction plans and specifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Good time management and organizational skills

Demonstrated work ethic

Function effectively as part of a team

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors

Clean driving record – and reliable transportation

Work conditions are both in the field and in the office

Education, Experience, and Technology Required:
Bachelor s Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent

Successful completion of post-offer background & drug screens.
